STUART — U.S. Rep. Brian Mast, R-Palm City, spent 2½ hours fielding mostly hostile questions Monday night at a town hall meeting in Stuart.
There were impassioned pleas to preserve health insurance and angry denunciations of President Donald Trump.
Many in the crowd were from the anti-Trump group Indivisible Martin County and came with T-shirts and red and green cards to signal their disapproval or approval of comments. The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee also bought ads encouraging Mast critics to attend.
A fair number of Mast supporters were on hand as well.
