Roger Stone, the longtime Donald Trump confidant who’s been vigorously denying suggestions he colluded with Russia to influence the 2016 election, will be one of the speakers at the Martin County Republican Party’s Lincoln Day fundraising dinner next week.
The $100-per-plate event is April 8 at the Hutchinson Island Marriott.
“We are excited to hear what he has to say. We are certainly not shying away from controversy,” said Martin County Republican Chairman Toby Overdorf said of Stone.
Karen Vaughn spoke at last year’s Republican National Convention in Cleveland about the 2011 death of her son, Navy Seal Aaron Vaughn, in Afghanistan.
