The Palm Beach County Republican Party holds its biggest fundraiser of the year tonight at President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Club, with 750 or more people paying $300 and up for the Lincoln Day dinner.
Trump has spent five of the last seven weekends at Mar-a-Lago and keynoted last year’s Palm Beach County GOP dinner, but he is not expected to be in town tonight or this weekend.
The county GOP has held its last four Lincoln Day dinners at Mar-a-Lago. Trump appeared in 2014 and last year.
The party, which estimated it collected more than $300,000 at last year’s dinner, also paid more than $144,000 to rent Mar-a-Lago’s main ballroom for that event, according to a finance report filed with the county elections office.
Tickets started at $300 for tonight’s sold-out event, with the party offering sponsorship packages for up to $25,000 for two tables of 10.
The headliners for tonight are Lynette Hardaway and Rochelle Richardson, sisters from North Carolina better known as “Diamond and Silk” for their viral videos supporting Trump. The pair, who are African-American, appeared at several Trump rallies in 2016.
Gov. Rick Scott, Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam and U.S. Rep. Brian Mast, R-Palm City, are also scheduled to appear, as is James Golden — better known as call screener, producer and engineer “Bo Snerdley” for Palm Beach resident Rush Limbaugh‘s syndicated radio show.
