PALM BEACH — President Donald Trump departed Mar-a-Lago at 8:28 a.m. this morning and went to his Trump International Golf Club in unincorporated West Palm Beach — tweeting twice along the way.

“Don’t believe the main stream (fake news) media. The White House is running VERY WELL. I inherited a MESS and am in the process of fixing it,” the president tweeted at 8:31 a.m.

At 8:51 a.m., Trump offered Twitter followers an outline of the weekend, his third in a row at Mar-a-Lago.

“Will be having many meetings this weekend at The Southern White House. Big 5:00 P.M. speech in Melbourne, Florida. A lot to talk about!” Trump tweeted.

Those meetings are expected to include interviews with up to four finalists for the vacant national security adviser’s position.

The Palm Beach Post will be reporting from Melbourne later today — follow PostOnPolitics.com, MyPalmBeachPost.com and @gbennettpost on Twitter all day.
