PALM BEACH — President Donald Trump returns to his winter White House at Mar-a-Lago later today as his administration ponders how to deal with a judicial roadblock to his executive order halting travel to the U.S. by refugees and people from seven largely Muslim nations.
A three-judge federal appeals panel unanimously refused to reinstate the ban Thursday after a judge — derided as a “so-called judge” by Trump on Twitter — halted the travel ban while the court considers challenges to it by Washington and Minnesota.
Trump reacted swiftly on Twitter on Thursday evening:
“SEE YOU IN COURT, THE SECURITY OF OUR NATION IS AT STAKE!” the president tweeted.
As this Palm Beach Post analysis of Trump’s first 100 presidential tweets noted, Trump often capitalizes words for emphasis when he tweets. But Thursday’s Twitter blast was only the third time as president he has tweeted entirely in capital letters.
