PALM BEACH — President Donald Trump returns to his winter White House at Mar-a-Lago on Friday, this time for a weekend golf outing with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

Flight restrictions associated with Trump’s visit last weekend cost Palm Beach County airports nearly $250,000, according to a report sent to county commissioners. That includes $217,000 in lost revenue for one fixed base operator at Palm Beach International Airport and $30,000 in lost business at the nearby Lantana airport.

Security costs haven’t been totaled for Trump’s latest visit, but his five-day visit as president-elect over Thanksgiving weekend led to $248,000 in overtime costs for Palm Beach County sheriff’s deputies.
