Trump in Palm Beach: Tiger Woods to join president-elect on links, Golf Digest says

President-elect Donald Trump and Tiger Woods are scheduled to play golf today at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, according to a report in Golf Digest that cites a source close to Trump.

Woods, who owns a home in Jupiter Island and launched a restaurant in Jupiter’s Harbourside Place, is no stranger to presidential golf in Florida.

He played with President Barack Obama at the Floridian Golf Club in Palm City in 2013 and again in 2015.

Woods has also golfed with former Presidents George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton. He critiqued their golf games, as well as Obama’s, during an October appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert (beginning around the 4:20 mark on this video clip) after Colbert asked him about golfing with presidents.

When Colbert asked if he had ever golfed with Trump, Woods replied: “You said ‘presidents.'”

Part-time Palm Beach resident Trump and Woods have met on the golf course at least once before.

In 2013, Woods won the World Golf Championships-Cadillac Championship at the Trump National Doral near Miami and was given the winner’s trophy by Trump.

Neither Woods nor Trump has mentioned any golf outing on Twitter, but Woods posted a shirtless Santa picture on his account Thursday night.
