  • President-elect Donald J. Trump played down comments by intelligence officials that Russia hacked its way into the presidential election hoping to help the Republicans win. The Central Intelligence Agency is made up of “the same people who thought Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction,” NBC News quoted his transition team as saying.
  • Citing two unnamed RNC sources, Fox News is reporting that Ronna Romney McDaniel is expected to be President-elect Trump’s selection for RNC chairwoman. McDaniel is the niece of Mitt Romney, who is reportedly on the short list for Secretary of State in the Trump Cabinet. McDaniel served as a delegate for Trump at the 2016 Republican National Convention.
  • President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect Mike Pence will visit Orlando next week as part of Trump’s “USA Thank You Tour.” Trump and Pence are scheduled to appear at the Central Florida Fairgrounds on Friday, Dec. 16, at 7 p.m.
