Part-time Palm Beach residents John F. Kennedy and Rudy Giuliani preceded Mar-a-Lago Club owner Donald Trump as Time’s “Person of the Year.”

After pulling off a stunning presidential upset and driving discussion throughout 2016, part-time Palm Beacher Donald Trump is Time magazine’s “Person of the Year” for 2016.

He’s at least the third part-time Palm Beach resident to be so designated.

President John F. Kennedy, who used to winter at the family compound on North County Road, was Time’s Man of the Year in 1961.

Rudy Giuliani, who owns two condo units on the island, was Person of the Year for 2001 after leading New York City as mayor during the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Time’s latest cover calls Trump “President of the Divided States of America.”

Trump told NBC’s Matt Lauer in a Today show interview this morning that the headline is “snarky,” but he considers Person of the Year “a great honor.”

“I didn’t divide them. They’re divided now. There’s a lot of division. And we’re going to put it back together,” Trump said. Later, he said: “I think putting ‘divided’ is snarky…I’m not president yet. I didn’t do anything to divide.”
