President-elect Donald Trump, who arrived at his Mar-a-Lago Club on Tuesday night, plans to stay in Palm Beach through “the remainder of the weekend,” a spokesman said today.
Trump, who this morning announced his intention to nominate South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley for U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, could also announce another Cabinet-level pick later today.
He’s also expected to release a video statement on Thanksgiving today.
Trump has been meeting with a parade of potential appointees since his Nov. 8 election win over Hillary Clinton, but does not have any official meetings planned while he’s in Palm Beach. He could have some internal staff discussions and calls while he’s in South Florida, said Republican National Committee Communications Director Sean Spicer on a conference call with reporters.
