Orlando shooting survivors to speak at Democratic National Convention

Two survivors of the Orlando nightclub shooting last month, along with the mother of one of the attack’s victims, will speak tonight at the Democratic National Convention.

Christine Leinonen’s son, Christopher, was one of the 49 people killed in the incident where a gunman from Fort Pierce stormed into the Pulse gay nightclub’s “Latin night” event.

Brandon Wolf and Jose Arraigada, two survivors of the attack, also will speak.

The trio follows a lineup of speakers earlier in the week who have taken on the issue of gun violence.

Tuesday night, a group of mothers whose children were killed by gun violence or during encounters with law enforcement.
